Terms & conditions
Information, not invitation.
These terms define the relationship between Averi Quanta and readers of this independent editorial publication.
1. Agreement to these terms
These Terms & Conditions govern access to and use of averiquanta.com, its articles, illustrations and related pages. By using the website, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, discontinue use. The Privacy Policy, Cookie Policy and Editorial Standards provide additional information and form part of the framework governing the service.
These terms do not create a gambling contract, player relationship, financial-service relationship, professional-client relationship or partnership.
2. Nature of the publication
Averi Quanta is a media and research publication covering the history, people, events, culture, business and technology of the global casino industry. We are not a casino, bookmaker, lottery, gambling platform, payment service, regulator, dispute-resolution body or gambling affiliate.
The website provides no registration, player balance, deposit, withdrawal, wager, bonus, odds, gambling software or link intended to convert a reader into a player. References to companies, games, prizes or historical events are editorial subject matter, not an offer or endorsement.
3. Adult audience and legal eligibility
The editorial service is intended for readers aged 18 and over because it discusses adult environments, crime, losses and gambling policy. Our age notice is a content boundary, not a verification of identity or permission to gamble.
Legal gambling ages vary by activity and jurisdiction. In New Zealand, participation in casino gambling and entry to a casino gambling area are restricted to people aged 20 and over under the Gambling Act 2003. Other activities may have different limits. You must comply with the laws that apply to your location and activity. Nothing on this website lowers or replaces a statutory or operator age requirement.
4. No legal, financial, medical or gambling advice
Content is general information and historical analysis. It is not legal advice about a current dispute, financial or investment advice, medical diagnosis, security consulting or guidance on how to gamble. Do not make a legal, health, investment, operational-security or gambling decision solely from an article.
Historical wins are exceptional events and do not predict future outcomes. Discussion of probability does not provide a method to overcome chance or guarantee profit. If gambling is causing concern, use the services listed on our Responsible Gambling page.
5. Editorial accuracy, corrections and timeliness
We aim to verify material claims and distinguish allegation, charge, conviction, judgment and regulatory finding. Our process is described in the Editorial Standards. Nevertheless, archival records may be incomplete, sources may conflict, laws and corporate information change, and errors can occur.
Dates marked “published”, “updated” or “reviewed” describe our editorial record. They do not guarantee that every external link or referenced rule remains current. Consult the relevant primary authority for a decision requiring current information. Correction requests should be sent to corrections@averiquanta.com.
6. Limited permission to use the site
We grant you a personal, limited, revocable, non-exclusive and non-transferable permission to access and read the site for lawful purposes. This permission does not transfer ownership of content or allow you to reproduce the publication as a competing product.
Subject to applicable copyright exceptions, you may link to public pages, print a copy for personal use and quote brief passages with clear attribution and a link to the source article. For syndication, commercial reproduction, translation, image licensing or substantial quotation, contact rights@averiquanta.com.
7. Intellectual property and visual provenance
The Averi Quanta name, original text, site design, graphics and commissioned illustrations are owned by or licensed to the publication unless otherwise stated. Third-party names and marks remain the property of their respective owners and are used editorially for identification and commentary.
Launch illustrations are original AI-generated editorial composites depicting fictional places and anonymous figures. They are not documentary photographs of the named cases or properties. Source documents and external images are not transferred to you through citation or linking.
8. Acceptable use
You must not:
- interfere with site availability, security or access controls;
- introduce malicious code, probe for vulnerabilities without written authorisation or attempt unauthorised access;
- use automated requests at a rate that degrades the service or disregards published crawler instructions;
- scrape and republish substantial content, build a competing archive or remove copyright and attribution notices;
- impersonate another person, misrepresent affiliation or submit forged evidence;
- use contact addresses for spam, unlawful threats, harassment or fraudulent requests;
- attempt to turn historical descriptions of crime or security into assistance for wrongdoing; or
- use the service in violation of applicable law or another person’s rights.
Ordinary search-engine indexing consistent with robots.txt is permitted. Good-faith security concerns should be reported privately to security@averiquanta.com.
9. Emails, tips and submissions
Sending information does not guarantee publication, confidentiality, payment, attribution or a response. Do not send material you are not authorised to disclose. You retain ownership of original material you submit, but you permit us to review, store and internally reproduce it for evaluating the enquiry. Any broader publication or licensing arrangement may be agreed separately.
Ordinary email is not guaranteed secure. Contacting us does not automatically create a legally privileged relationship or a promise to protect identity in every circumstance. Sensitive sources should first ask the editorial desk about an appropriate channel.
10. External links and sources
Links to regulators, courts, health services, archives, companies and publishers are supplied for evidence or reader convenience. External organisations control their own content, availability, security and privacy. A link supports only the claim for which it is cited; it is not endorsement of every view, product or service on that domain.
We do not accept responsibility for a third party changing a page after citation. Archived or replacement sources may be added when a link disappears.
11. Availability and changes to the service
We may correct, update, reorganise, archive or remove content and may suspend the site for security, maintenance or editorial reasons. We do not promise continuous availability, permanent storage of a particular article, compatibility with every browser or that external links will remain accessible.
We may restrict access associated with abuse or security threats. Such action does not affect statutory rights or prevent a person from submitting a lawful privacy request through another available channel.
12. Disclaimers
To the extent permitted by law, the site is provided on an “as available” basis. We do not make a warranty that content is complete, error-free, fit for a particular professional decision or current in every jurisdiction. We do not warrant that an historical amount, project estimate or reported record is economically comparable with another unless the article expressly provides that analysis.
Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts or modifies any guarantee, right or remedy that cannot lawfully be excluded, including rights that may apply under New Zealand consumer, privacy or fair-trading law.
13. Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, Averi Quanta is not liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from reliance on general editorial content, inability to access the site, conduct of an external website or a decision to gamble. This limitation does not apply where liability cannot lawfully be limited, and it does not excuse fraud, wilful misconduct or another non-excludable responsibility.
You remain responsible for verifying current law and professional advice, maintaining device security and deciding whether to follow an external link.
14. Privacy and browser storage
Our handling of personal information is governed by the Privacy Policy. The Cookie Policy identifies the single local-storage preference used by the site and confirms that no advertising or audience-analytics cookies are currently deployed.
15. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms to reflect legal, editorial or technical changes. The effective date and version will change when a material revision is published. Continued use after publication means the revised terms govern later use; it does not retroactively authorise a new use of previously collected personal information.
16. Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of New Zealand. Subject to any mandatory right to bring a claim elsewhere, the courts of New Zealand have non-exclusive jurisdiction. Before formal proceedings, the parties should attempt in good faith to clarify the issue through legal@averiquanta.com, unless urgent relief or a statutory complaint route is appropriate.
17. General provisions
If a provision is found unlawful or unenforceable, it will be read down where possible and the remaining provisions continue. A delay in enforcing a provision is not a waiver. Headings aid navigation and do not limit meaning. These terms do not give enforcement rights to a third party except where applicable law provides otherwise.
